Elkton – Home Invasion

Report #: 11-55-005663

Saturday evening, May 7, 2011, Maryland State Police are continuing their search for three suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion (unit block of Elma Drive, Elkton, Md.) in which a Cecil County man sustained a gunshot wound and facial contusions during an assault.

Troopers from the North East Barrack responded to the victim’s residence after receiving a 911 call that suspects had forced their way into the residence and that shots had been fired.  Upon arriving, troopers discovered that the suspects had fled from the scene in an unknown make/model vehicle.

The victim indicated that at about 10:30 p.m. the suspects knocked on his door and upon answering, two of the three suspects demanded money and then forced their way inside.  Once inside the victim indicated that he was thrown to the floor and punched repeatedly in the head and face and also struck with the handgun brandished by the suspects.  The victim was then shot in the foot during a struggle for the handgun. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital after the assault, treated and later released.

The first of the three suspects is described as a white male in his late twenties, 5’7”, thin build, with a neatly trimmed beard, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.  The second suspect is described as a black male (light complexion), 5’8”, with a single gold tooth, wearing a red jacket and jeans.  The only description of the third suspect is that he was a black male, 6’4”, large build, and wearing dark clothing.
