High’s Store Robbery, Rising Sun

Maryland State Police are continuing their search for a white male suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery of the Rising Sun High’s Store (1897 Conowingo Road, Rising Sun, Md.) on Wednesday evening, May 11, 2011.  Two employees were held at knife point during the robbery.

Upon arrival troopers made contact with employees at the establishment who explained that at approximately 11:00 p.m. they were standing behind the counter when a white male subject entered the establishment dressed in all black clothing , wearing black leather gloves and a black mask which covered his entire face except for a small portion of his eyes and nose.

The suspect, brandishing a large seriated kitchen knife with a forked end, walked around the counter where the employee’s were standing and demanded that they open the cash register and give him all the money contained inside. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of US Currency and subsequently fled from the area.
