Armed Robbery at Benson, Maryland, Post Office

On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:30pm, Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched for an armed robbery at the Benson Post Office, 108 Connolly Road, Benson, Maryland 21018. Witnesses told police a white male described as 30-35 years old, 6’1″-6’2″ tall, 190 lbs-200 lbs. wearing blue pants with red stitching on the sides, a grey pull over hooded sweatshirt, black baseball hat and dark sunglasses, entered the Post Office and posed as a customer. As the postal worker opened the cash register the suspect produced and displayed a handgun. The suspect reached over the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect ran from the post office toward Harford Rd. No injuries were reported.
