(North East, MD) – On Thursday, April 4, 2013 at approximately 4:55 p.m., Troopers from the Maryland State Police North East Barrack, along with officers from the North East Police Department, responded to PNC Bank located at 1 South Main Street, North East, MD 21910 for an armed robbery. The suspect (above) was described a white male, approximately 5’10” thin build wearing a black sweatshirt, a blue baseball hat, khaki pants, and having auburn colored facial hair. The suspect implied that he had a weapon to the cashier while requesting money from the drawers. The cashier handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the cash drawer. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect in this case has been apprehended.
