On December 5, 2016, at approximately 12:50pm, officers were on patrol in the area of Fayette Street and N. Eutaw Street when they heard gunshots. Officers began to investigate and found an adult male in the 100 block of N. Eutaw Street with gunshot wounds to his body. Officers immediately began CPR until the fire department arrived on the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
