On Sunday afternoon on January 30th, 2022, the Maryland State Police responded to a reported single vehicle collision on northbound I-95 at the Maryland 100 interchange.
Troopers located victim Charlie Marks, a 42-year-old husband and father of six, suffering from a gunshot wound. Charlie was transported to Shock Trauma but ultimately succumbed to his injury.
Investigation revealed that the victim entered northbound I-95 from Maryland Route 32 and was traveling towards his home in Pasadena, Maryland. Witnesses described observing the victim get involved in an apparent “road rage” incident with an unknown suspect operating a small blue passenger car.
The witnesses then described seeing the victim’s vehicle travel off the roadway into the center median, coming to rest against the guardrail. The witnesses did not realize that the victim was shot while driving and were unable to provide any further details on the shooter or their vehicle.
